Description of Job
Job Duties:
- Maintain Field Data Gathering database
- Monitor incoming production data for accuracy
- Work with field personnel to resolve data issues
- Prepare weekly production reports which are presented to senior management and financial accounting
- Prepare monthly volumes accrual for Revenue Accounting
- Reconcile all run ticket data with information received from oil purchasers and make necessary corrections in Field Data Gathering
- Manage month-end production accounting close to ensure accuracy of data
- Respond to partner inquiries for production data and reports
- Analyze & explain production variances
- Obtain purchaser’s statements for all oil and gas sold. Enter/verify data with the ProCount system, allocate monthly data to the wells and ensure the numbers are accurate.
- Prepare regulatory filings as required by each state in the Asset Area and file by the deadlines set by each state’s regulatory body.
- Provide accurate monthly production data to accounting and royalty departments in a timely manner so that each of those areas are able to meet their respective deadlines.
- Become proficient in the use of ProCount, Carte, and the regulatory modules used in reporting.
- Scanning and filing of production and regulatory reports. As needed or requested, handle other activities to support well operations, audits and accounting obligations
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Energy related or other related field; OR Bachelor’s degree in any field with 1 year of upstream oil and gas experience
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail
